Roselly came to the United States from Indonesia. She attended the graduate
program at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago and received her Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture.
She then worked for several architecture & interior design firms, working on various residential & commercial projects.
Shortly after the birth of her daughter she took several years off to stay home. During this time she took drawing & painting
classes at Harper College (Palatine) & Mainstreet Art Center (Lake Zurich) to nurture her new passion in fine art, especially
portraiture. Since
then she has taken art classes/workshops from well known & highly accomplished artists such as: Jan Berglund, Dawn Emerson,
Frankie Johnson, David A. Leffel, Ned Mueller, Susan Ploughe & William Schneider.
When not painting, Roselly loves to read, ride bikes with her daughter, learning
French language & travel. Her favorite places are Bali, London, Prague & Venice. Her favorite museums
are The Art Institute of Chicago, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and The National Portrait Gallery in Washington
DC. Roselly works in oil, pastel & charcoal.
